Maeleigh Joy

My cousin Tricia and her husband, Brent, welcomed their little girl into the world this past Tuesday. She is the first girl in our FL group of cousins. She is absolutly beautiful! And soo tiny. Tate and I went to visit Tricia and baby Maeleigh today with my mom and grandma. Above is a picture of 4 generations of Carter's. Tricia and Brent also have sweet Bronson who is a year a half old. He is our miracle baby as he has had a lot of health issues since birth. But he is as sweet as he can be and loves just to be held and loved on, which we all love doing! Tate loves Bronson and was excited to meet his new little sister. (Even though Tate still insists that if mommy and daddy decide to give him a sibling he wants a "Drew-Drew boy"). We had a very good visit and hope too see Tricia and the babies again soon!

Circus!!!

We took Reagan and Tate to the circus last weekend. They had a great time! I think that Reagan liked it a little more that Tate, she enjoyed all the twirling and dancing, Tate on the other hand enjoyed the more action filled moments, and there werent as many of those. He really did have a great time. He has been learning about the circus at school, so he was definatly eager to see the elephants and tigers. He also enjoyed the cannon and the big circles that spin while the guys walk on them. He liked the tricks that the elephants did too. It was pretty amazing that such a huge animal can roll around on their back on the ground, and then stand right back up without a problem! I think we will probably venture back next year, maybe his attention span will be a little better so we can enjoy more of the show by then! I tried to get some pictures, but the arena was too dark, my flash didnt do much good so far away, but I did get this one of the kiddos at intermission (sp). It turned out pretty cute!

Last Sunday we went to Disney with Grandmommy and Papa. Tate had a blast, I think we all did. We were all pretty exhausted but it was worth it. Tate had fun showing them around.....like they hadnt ever been before. Tate showed them Buzz and the teacups. If you ever get a chance to go to Disney with Tate you must ride the teacups and go as fast as you can...it is hilarious!! If I can figure out how to upload the video I will. Since our first trip in October, Disney has become a favorite place for us. I was worried 2 was too young, I was definatly wrong. He loves it!! We cant wait to go back, of course, in another week Tate will actually have to buy a ticket, so it might be a while! :)

The Weekend of The Swingset

So, we decided to put Tates swingset together this weekend. Well, Sunday/Monday (thats Austins weekend). So, after church Matt, Andrea and the kids, and mom and dad came over. It actually turned out to be a pretty yucky day. Austin, Andrea and I had spent the night before labeling all the parts and seperating them by phases (there were only 27 phases). After lunch and a quick trip to dads to get the drill, they got to work. It was a very long and tetious process as any of you know who have ever had the thrill of doing this. They didnt get it all done on Sunday, but Austin got back up Monday morning and he and Tate had it done by lunchtime. Tate LOVES it!! That fact alone was worth all the hard work. He hasnt really gotten too much time on it though because we have had such yucky days the past couple of days. Thanks to everyone who helped! Enjoy the pics!!!!

Happy Birthday to me!!!

My 26th birthday was yesterday. We celebrated on Sunday since my birthday fell on Monday this year. Which I have decided is the worst day of the week to have your birthday on....Mondays just arent fun! So, Sunday after church we went to my parents house for lunch. Lunch was delicious and it was great being able to have everyone together. (Its usually pretty hard since Austin works such crazy hours.) Before leaving I managed to bribe my boys into letting mom take a picture of us. After going home and having a nice nap we met some friends at Chillis for dinner. We had a table of 13 and then all my girls from Yankee just happened to be having a girls night. Needless to say, when the cake came out just about the whole restraunt was singing. All and all I had a great birthday, thanks to everyone who made it so special!

Welcoming 2009

So, my goal for 2009 is to keep our family and friends who are not nearby updated on what is going on in the Hill Household. I hate that everyone lives so far away and Ive done a really bad job this past year at sending out pictures (especially to the grandparents). So, this way you can keep up with us as much, or as little as you like. Im not a huge fan of blogging, so its going to be a challenge. But Im going to do my best. For New Years Eve this year we were very low key. We went to our best friends' house, John and Emma. Johns brothers family came also. So, it was once again Tate and the girls. (Both girls are about 6 months younger than Tate) But as always they had a blast. We ate lots of yummy food and the kids played. After we ate we went out and did fireworks. Tate loved them. Nessa was scared and I think she made Reagan not so sure. But after Nessa went back inside I think Reagan enjoyed them too- even though she didnt really admit it. After the miniture fireworks show we had a lot of fun doing sparklers. Reagan jumped on the fact that Tate was doing it and wanted to do it too. So, we let her, but we eventually had to call it quits because she couldnt figure out how to hold it right and we were afraid she would burn herself. So, we took the kids in and put them to bed. We then, the grown-ups that we are, played Mario Kart for about an hour before welcoming in the New Year. We are so blessed to have been able to start and finish the new year with such great friends for the past 4 years! So, now its time for 2009.....whats next? My birthday is Monday.....the celebrations start tomorrow! :) Tates birthday is coming up too....looks like it will be a Mickey Mouse birthday party for him this year with a new swingset from Grandma and Grandpa Cady. He is very excited! I think I am more excited about his birthday than mine! Then Austins comes in March, its a busy 3 months for us! I will update soon!
